In the year 1922, the first Public School building was built in a one hectare site donated by Dona Paula Matta Garcia. This was the concrete Gabaldon type School Building consisting of seven rooms worth P45, 000.00.
The Municipal teacher of Guinayangan Elementary school from 1918 to 1936, replaced by Mr. Paulino Capio of Sariaya in 1927 to 1931. Mr. Emilio Roxas came to take the post vacated by Mr. Capio who was transferred to his hometown, from1932 to 1936. Then Mr. Catalino Epino came to head the Elementary school in 1936 until his retirement in 1960. Among the first graduate of the school were Vicente Salumbides, Montano Roldan, Boanerges Pumarada, Luis Paglinawan, Francisco Molines, Candida Guerrero, Concepcion Ramos, Concepcion Seguerra and Premitiva Alcantara, the lone survivor. Upon the retirement of Mr. Epino in 1960, principal teachers from different municipalities were assigned successively from 1960 to 1972. In 1973, Mrs. Alodia F. Molines became the Principal Teacher.
In the early years of American rule, School Divisions were created for every province, headed by the Division Superintendent. One or more municipality comprises one school district, which was headed by a Supervising Teacher, later called District Supervisor. The District supervises all school within the district, and is responsible to the Division Superintendent in all undertakings pertinent to elementary educations. Guinayangan, Calauag and Lopes belonged to one school district in the beginning. Later in 1941, the schools were re districted so that Guinayangan stood as a separate district combined withTagkawayan. Mr. Paulino Capio assumed office as District supervisor. In 1941-1946. Frequent re-districting resulted in the merging of Guinayangan, Buenavista and San Narciso, again with Calauag in 1952-54 under Mrs. Florencia Cuevas.
Guinayangan district stood alone under the supervision of Mrs. Lourdes Veluz (1973 to 1974), Mrs. Pilar Tanada (1975 to 1976) and Mr. Esmeraldo Portes (1977-1981). It was only in 1985 up to 1993 when Mrs. Alodia F. Molines of Guinayangan became the district supervisor. To date, another product of Guianayangan heads the school district in the person of Mr. Edgardo Villanueva.
At present, the school has totally been improved. Numbers of teachers increases to forty-seven. It has 20 serviceable building and one newly constructed building, the E Type building. There are thirty nine classrooms, 3 learning centers and an administration building for the school principal and district supervisor.The continuous support of PTCA, Local Government Unit, Civic Spirited Persons of Guinayangan, Teachers club and Pupils. Government contribute much to the continuous development of the school physical plant and facilities.
